Politics. I can't wait until they are over!

Well, there are 6 days until we elect a new president of the United States of America. I don't how it's possible but the democrats keep getting a candidate that I'm more afraid of than the last election. I find myself wishing that Kerry was the nominee instead of Obama. The more I hear about Obama, the more I'm afraid of him. I guess the biggest reasons as to why I will never vote for this scary guy are:
  1. His views on abortion. How he has no respect for the human life. He is the most radical polititcian when it comes to this issue.
  2. His socialistic views. Marxism didn't work in Europe, but using his logic I guess it should then work here, right?
  3. His picks for advisers. Watch the video here. It talks about the CEOs of Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac and how the are linked to Obama.
  4. His relations to radicals. Ayers and his pastor. You can use whatever adage you want, birds of a feather flock together or that you are the company you keep.
It's late now, so I guess I'll leave my list at 4. If someone thinks that they can change my mind, don't bother unless Obama relents on the abortion issue. Abortion is murder, no matter how you try to look at it. You can try to say that woman who are in danger of losing their lives should be allowed. Well, that should be allowed to be looked to in a its own case, but the truth is that by far, most abortions are not done to save the life of the mother. It is done so that the parents don't have to take care of a child. I believe in a choice of having children, but once you have sex with someone and a child is concieved, that choice has been clearly made.

Angry Political Ranting

Well, this is actually not really a ranting. I was recently emailed some very informative videos about the current financial crisis and about the real cause of today's problems. Just a warning, these videos may make you very angry.

This political year is getting me more and more frustrated. I know it's useless, but I was arguing with a guy about a youtube video, not one of these videos. I was responding to a video claiming that McCain's attack videos were under handed lies. One video claims that Obama's biggest act in the senate was to get sex ed for K-12 graders. The video's response to that was a response from Obama that said that the video was a lie, the bill was ment to help protect children from child preditors. I responded saying:
"This video has very few facts. It claims that McCain is lying so therefore he is lying. Just looking at the first add where McCain accuses Obama of starting having sex ed classes for k-12. If you look at the actual bill, you will see that it is true.
"Each class or course in comprehensive sex education offered in any of grades K through 12 shall include instruction on the prevention of sexually transmitted infections, including the prevention, transmission and spread
of HIV."
SB-99 IL"

Some guy then responded by calling me a moron and telling me I shouldn't vote because I did not have a sufficient IQ. (And no, Pat was not the person who responded to my comment.) I appreciated his logic that since it is silly for a first grade teacher to teach sex ed that no one would say that we should have first graders learning sex ed, therefore I had no idea what I was talking about, therefore I am a moron. The logic seems sound to me, I guess I should think about having my wife fill out my ballot for me.

Posting just to post

Well, I don't really have a lot to say (and before you ask "Why post at all", I just want to say I don't care! I'm posting because I feel like it, so there!) which actually brings me to something I do want to say. Kind of funny how that works. Well, one of the downsides to having your wife blog while you too are keeping up, or at least trying to keep up a blog, is that she is liable to steal stories from you. I was going to post some pictures from seafair, but she got to it before I did. Oh well, I'm going to post some of the other shots I got.

Here is everyone clambering onto the bridge to see the show!

Some members of our group wanted to sit and wait for the show.

Ranting

Hey, oh brother of mine who complains that I don't update my blog as often as he would like and yet does not have a blog himself. I just thought I would point out that I have written on my blog for three days in a row!!! I just thought that I would complain a bit in my blog. The only thing is that I don't know who exactly does read my blog. I keep finding out more and more people read it. I was first going to use this blog as a way to gripe about my wife. (You know, how guys would gripe about their wife's on Home Improvement.) But alas, that dream dies quickly because Kayleen found my blog. Then I thought I would post all the dirty little secrets she tells me about her friends, but then I found out that some of them have read my blog too! (Well, this may not be true. This idea may come from Kayleen's friends stealing her for a weekend to go to Oregon. We may never know though, because I'm not verifying if it is or not.) Now I don't know what to use this blog for. The only thing I can think to do is to post random rants about my random encounters. That way my readership may drop and I can start complaining about certain peoples. I think that is a sound idea. The only problem is that I can't really think of what to rant about. I probably should have thought about that before I wrote this blog. It's just that my brother pushed me to write more often that I'm now just writing stuff about nothing. Oh well, I'll end this segment here and just post some pictures. Everybody likes pictures!!!

I forgot to post this earlier, but here is Kayleen waiting in the doctor's office. Kayleen is still upbeat even after waiting over an hour in the waiting room. This was actually taken with my camera phone! It takes pretty nice pictures for being a camera phone.

We went to the beach today with a bunch of friends. A couple of friends of ours arranged a day out at the beach in Seattle to play volleyball and eat burgers and hot dogs. It has been years since I've played volleyball. Last summer I was in New York and the only sports we played there were basketball, soccer, and football.
