Is this the most important issue to get passed?

In Washington State, voters are going to be voting on I-1000, the death with dignity initiative. I am shocked that with everything in the world, that helping people to commit suicide is something that ever needs to be voted on. Life is a precious thing and man should not be in charge of helping another man end his life. It is suicide, plain and simple. These are some videos that I found that talk about the dangers of passing I-1000. One point that they make, that I think is a good point is that in the initiative they have a cut off of 6 months for people to be able to choose to legally commit suicide. The thing is that why is it 6 months? Why not 3 months so that doctors could be more sure or 9 months so that people don't need to suffer? There doesn't seem to be a scientific reason for 6 months other than it was a random decision. Who is to say that these regulations will stay into effect for long? This thing seems like it could snowball out of control very easily.
